Flowers have always been a very popular motif in home decor. Hand carved into wood, stone or cast in to ceramic to add a bit of nature to our inside spaces. They can be found all over the place including banisters, furniture, wall hangings, backsplashes, wood trim, and the list goes on.
This project is packed with so many possibilities because the models are very interchangeable. It is easy to create a flower motif that you can carry throughout a room or your home. Even if you are not looking to take on a home renovation, this project is easily hacked together with our other projects to create a unique project.
We have designed a few neat features into this project that will make it even easier to use and reuse. These features include:
- Stem and Leaves No.1 merges into Flower No.1 to make a complete flower.
- Stem and Leaves No.2 can be merged end to end to make a longer stem or border.
- Leaves have been modeled to be very flexible and can be used for capping of the stem model, overlap the border of the textured panel to give visual depth, merged together to create a long piece of trim and much more.
This might be the perfect time to update that tired old banister with a new newel post that is sure to impress any visitors.
This project is part of the Decorative Panel Collection No.1 that includes all 5 of our initial Panel projects.
