Home for the Holidays No.2

The holiday season is special in so many ways.  Friend and Family gathering together sharing food, laughter and good times.

Candles have a wide range of meanings in our homes during this part of the year.  Some religious, some lit to remember a cherished friend or family member that is not with us anymore and others just there to bring a warmth to the occasion. 

In some families candle holders, sconces and trivets are passed down from generation to generation.  If these could talk we are sure the conversations that have happened around them would be pretty interesting to hear again, to say the least.

It is not too hard to find a pretty nice candle holder in any big box store but none of them were made using your special gift of time.  Your time is one of the most precious gifts you can give during the holidays.  It is an amazing feeling to make something that will become a center piece to a great conversation or something that generations will look at and think of you.

We have designed a few neat features into this project that will make it even easier to use and reuse.  These features include:
- the holly sprig has been modeled so adding extra leaves is a breeze.
- we have included a round and square trivet so you can match just about anyone's tastes.
- the trivet designs have a recessed dished band so you can add another model to them easily and get the best "z" height possible.
- both the round and square ribbons have been made using either the bent or straight ribbon segment showing how nicely they connect together.
- Sizing chart to make sure you get the socket size perfect.

It's never too early to get a start on your Christmas list. We are sure almost everyone on your list would love something made in your shop instead of a last minute purchase from that big box store... right?! Yeah, we thought so.

This project is not just limited to Christmas.  Why not make a special trivet for a wedding or anniversary gift?  How about a nice centerpiece for the Thanksgiving table or a housewarming gift?  So many ideas... so little time... so get moving!
